Ten Days of Giveaways: Day Ten: Red Hot Components

Well, it's the last day of the Ten Days of Giveaways!  Today I have some odds and ends of new work to give away.  I have fallen in love with this red glaze, especially when mixed with the black or pewter with occasional bits of white bare clay.  I am hoping this red will be very hot at Bead & Button this year.  We shall see!

I have some other hot red beads to giveaway today too!  These *glass skulls, hearts, hot peppers, and sparkly beads are from Rings and Things!  I think they are fun and really modern and hip.  And they go so well with my new favorite red glaze, it's a perfect match!
To win today's prize, leave a comment on the Earthenwood Studio Chronicles blog with an answer to the following question:

Do you have any hot crafty plans for this summer?

One winner will be chosen at random from all the comments. Comments are screened and will be posted June 15th.  All winners will be chosen and posted to the blog on June 15th, so be sure to check back then. You must respond to the June 15th winner post and follow the directions to claim your prize within one week of the posting.  After a week, I reserve the right to choose another winner.  Good luck and thanks for commenting!

  1. My crafty plans for the summer include finishing/starting several projects that I promised to do for friends but have not been completed because of work, family commitments, etc. We had a very early hot spring which made it hard to stay indoors - plus my garden needed attention.

My second goal is to build up an inventory of felted bead necklaces, etc. to sell at the Craft Fair at my son's school in late November to raise money for our local children's hospital - entirely his idea and he will be the chief seller, but we making the stock is my job.

If I have extra time (lol), I will get started on christmas presents/cards and take a rug hooking course with a friend. I woud also like to make a "vintage" apron. Time is in much shorter supply than my ideas...

  3. I'm loving your red glaze and those great pieces :)
My "hot" plans for this summer is to get some fine silver and break out the "cool" micro torch my husband bought me. I want to make rings (and other shapes) I can hammer, and incorporate into my jewelry. My goal is to make more of my own jewelry components. I'd love to have the time to throw some pots and breakout the raku kiln, but I don't think that will be happening. But I keep saving horsehair to raku onto pieces. You just never know :)

  4. Hot crafty plans, lol. That's a tall order. I have two goals for the summer, making a new, affordable creation for the holidays and writing my first pattern. They'll be hot in many ways, using a flame and metal on the creation, and sweating bullets writing the pattern. Love your giveaways and shop. Have fun at Bead and Button.

I have joined the Handmade in Vegas team and volunteered to be on the board. I have met many of the crafty locals I didn't even know existed here in "Sin City". We already have over 200 joined.
We are having a huge craft fair in August at Mt. Charleston where it is 20 degrees cooler than the city. A huge incentive to participate as it usually is above 110 in August. I am very busy creating lots of items to sell.
