Open Studio Comment Giveaway!

My first item to give away is this new carved Heartflamependant, glazed in black and candy red with bare porcelain showing. It is strung onto an 18" black satin cord with a button knot clasp.

Today here in Michigan is a slightly brisk and cool day. But despite the crisp wind and weather, I find my heart is warm. I am happy about the beautiful fallen leaves in my front yard and the comfort of my home, and memories of yesterday spent doing fun things with people that I adore.

Leave me a comment and tell me about something that has warmed your heart recently! At 2pm today, I will choose one comment at random for the winner of the Heartflame pendant above!

  2. Something that warmed my heart recently...I think the most recent "awww" moment I had is when I got a dish from LeAnn in the mail this week. I'd asked her about making one for me, and she gave me one as a gift...She's such a wonderful artist and great person to know - that was my heartwarming moment of the week :o)

  3. We just spent this morning at a good friend's farm, picking out pumpkins, mums and gourds with Chloe. We took lots of pictures to remember how much fun we have and how much she grows every year!

    Your new work is wonderful Melanie! Keep it up...

  5. The sun came out here in England too, so I got some well overdue gardening done. Gardening in the autumn sun's rays which still feel warm on the skin is also heart warming for me.

  6. Yesterday was our annual family Tailgate party. Usually we bring a dish to pass and our lawn chairs and sit outside visiting and eating. But the weather was wet and we ended up staying inside all day. My family and friends warm my heart.

  11. Oh my gosh you'll think I'm crazy. I'm in a down place in my life and have been surrounded by support by family and friends. But I hadn't felt joy for two months...and then I saw the movie Zombieland. The movie was awesome, the audience was awesome, and I felt joyful for the first time in a long time. I'm such a weirdo! :P
    thanks for the chance at your giveaway, the pendant is lovely!

  12. I have seen some awful tragedies happen in my neighborhood these last few months. Included are two family homes that burnt to the ground, a young man found at the school park having commited suicide and a body found in the local national park. What warms my heart is to see what happens to the people when their neighbor has faced tragedy. They rally together, they help out, they make sure that the people most affected by these tragedies are taken care of and have the things or help they need. It is amazing what perfect strangers do for each other when they are truly needed.
    {not meant to be a downer but a story of inspiration}
    Thanks
    Marie

  14. I just got finished cleaning the kitchen after making one of my favorite dishes, Chicken with Lemon, that will go into the oven later and bake for an hour for dinner. I seldom have time to cook so it made me feel good to smell the scents from the cooking and anticipate the flavors later. The only thing that would warm my heart more would be a loaf of fresh bread in the bread machine - maybe I'll go set that up.

    Is that a new banner? Or did I just notice something that's been there for a while - either way, very nice, I like it.
